Under the general direction of the Lockshop Manager, the incumbent maintains, services, and installs door hardware, locks, electronic access control equipment, and closed‑circuit television equipment. The technician also maintains mechanical hardware, repairs and replaces hardware, and cuts keys as needed. The technician completes work orders and preventive maintenance orders as assigned while delivering a high level of customer service. This position is under the IUOE local 877 bargaining agreement. A technician holding a Massachusetts low‑voltage license is compensated at a grade 98 category and a non‑license holder is compensated at the grade 97 category.
