Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician in North Charleston, SC to install, program, startup/check-out, certify, and train customers on complex security and life-safety systems. You will work on projects ranging from small to large, collaborating with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality service.

The role requires 3-5 years of relevant field experience, strong customer focus, and the ability to read blueprints. Local travel is expected, with potential overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Requires High School/GED or equivalent.3-5 years experience in field service or security systems.
• Certifications in relevant platforms preferred (Software House, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, Milestone, ONSSI, AXIS).
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams; travel to sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission security, fire, and life-safety systems.
• Test, repair, and service non-routine systems and equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Travel to local jobsites with ability for overnight travel as required.
