Job summary

Wichita Public Schools is seeking a Crewperson 5 - Security Systems and Operations to service and maintain low voltage systems including CCTV, DVRs, WAN/LAN, and access control across district facilities.

The role requires two years of low voltage experience, a valid Kansas driver’s license, and a focus on safety and reliability in varying environments. Travel between schools and central offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of low voltage experience is required.
• Must maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license throughout employment.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to travel between schools and central offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and maintenance of low voltage systems including test and troubleshooting, pulling all low voltage wiring, computer work, programming cameras, DVRs, Security: WAN/LAN, Telecommunication, CCTV, DVR software, Security systems, Access control systems.
• Assist technicians in the shop when needed.
• Plan and estimate labor and material costs of assigned jobs.
• Work under theSupervisor and coordinate with Job Coordinators.
