Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, and AV.

You will work independently and with plant personnel to perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and read blueprints to ensure equipment efficiency. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, experience with CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling, and proficiency with CMMS SAP for work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage wiring and data.
• Solid understanding of low voltage systems (security, fire alarm, AV).
• Proficiency in electrical wiring for installing/maintaining low voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with hand tools and safety practices.
• Experience with fiber optic cabling installation and termination.

Responsibilities

• Run and terminate cables (CAT5/6, fiber, power).
• Install and configure equipment for low voltage systems.
• Troubleshoot and test low voltage systems; diagnose and repair components.
• Maintain AV equipment and camera systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams; interpret technical drawings.
• Use CMMS SAP to manage work orders and review history.
• Adhere to safety procedures and promote a safety-first culture.
• This is a safety-sensitive position as designated by the company.
