Job summary

Tri-City Group is seeking Security Technicians for immediate openings in the Des Moines area. The role covers installation, maintenance, and service repairs for large construction, new construction, and remodeling projects.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, running low-voltage cables, mounting equipment, and programming security systems. Candidates should have an Electrical Apprenticeship for Low Voltage and at least 1 year of experience with security installations; physical demands

Qualifications

Completed Electrical Apprenticeship for Low Voltage or equivalent through a Trade or Community college.
Minimum 1 year of experience with installation and programming of security systems, VMS software.
Must be able to follow directions, climb a 6 ft ladder, and lift 50 lbs repetitively.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to install security equipment, including control panels, cameras, sensors, and access control hardware.
Run and terminate low-voltage cables and wires through walls, ceilings, and other access points to connect system components.
Install and mount security equipment, connect cables, and wire low-voltage circuits.
Program security systems with keypad/software to set user access codes and configure alarm panels.
Maintain and repair systems, diagnose hardware or software malfunctions.
