Location: On Site (Portland, OR)
Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000 (depending upon experience & knowledge)

Summary
Cochran is seeking a Security Systems Construction Estimator/Engineer to join our Portland team. The role involves interfacing with internal engineering, installation staff, and customers at the jobsite. The candidate must be able to manage security systems from inception to completion, including customer needs analysis, bid/specification review, pre-sales engineering/estimating, proposal writing and submission, and post-sales engineering support upon project award. Systems may include access control, video surveillance, intercom, and intrusion systems, integrated for end-user utilization.

Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in security system installation, with knowledge of access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and intercoms. Additional field installation experience is a plus. Strong understanding of integrated security systems is required.
Additional Skills
Ability to interpret technical documents, write reports, perform mathematical calculations, and apply common sense to instructions. Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, estimating software, Bluebeam, Visio, CAD, and Accubid Anywhere is preferred.
Code Knowledge
Knowledge of NEC and local building codes.
Certificates and Licenses
Certification on manufacturer platforms is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The work environment is typically moderate noise. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds, walking, standing, sitting, and other movements as described.
