Job summary

MarinHealth seeks a Security and Systems Engineer in San Rafael, CA to manage and monitor cyber security systems and IT infrastructure. The role also engineers security solutions for servers, domain configurations, workstations, firewalls, and VPNs, with day-to-day operations and projects.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in CS or related field, 3–4 years as systems/Windows engineer, 1–2 years in cybersecurity, PowerShell, and CompTIA A+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years’ experience as systems engineer, Windows system administrator, or network engineer.
• 1–2 years’ experience as cyber security analyst or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell is desired.
• Direct experience with antivirus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering.
• Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions (eg, DLP, FIM).

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools.
• Communicate network security issues to peers and management.
• Proactively ensure high levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Plan, research, and develop security policies, standards and procedures.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support; liaison with vendors for problem resolution.
