Job summary

Description

The Security System Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, proposal, implementation, and ongoing support of physical security enterprise systems (Video Management, Door Access Control, License Plate Recognition, etc…). In this position you will be involved in planning, contribute to the overall strategy, and manage complex issues related to physical security systems.

Requirements

• Design and price physical security solutions as requested by customers and end users
• Assist in prospecting, presenting, demonstrating and proposing our products and services to prospective and current customers
• Collaborate with engineers to solicit, compile & prioritize market feedback for product development based on customer needs
• Serve as internal resource and subject matter expert by supporting sales & marketing initiatives, educational services, demos, competitive intelligence, and localized strategic plans & goals
• Collaborates with project management, technical and engineering teams to ensure successful project deployments on time and on-budget
• Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying and performing the research needed to obtain market information
• Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests
• Lead efforts to recruit, review, hire and onboard employees to support the security business and other business units
• Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Certified on one or more security technologies with relevant technology experience
• 5+ years of experience as a system engineer or technician in a related industry or field.
