Job summary

Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC is seeking a Security Monitor 2 in McLean, VA to monitor surveillance, patrol the base, and control access to secure areas. The role emphasizes strong situational awareness, rapid threat assessment, and adherence to established protocols.

The ideal candidate has DCJS training within 90 days of start and at least 1 year of security monitoring experience in a high-security environment. Top Secret SCI CI Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of security monitoring experience in a high security environment.
• DCJS training required for VA/MD within 90 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor to detect unauthorized access or security breaches.
• Conduct perimeter checks and patrols to maintain security integrity.
• Track and document incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
• Enforce access control to ensure only authorized personnel enter secured areas.
• Verify IDs and clearances for military personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• Respond to alarms and incidents with rapid assessment and mitigation.
• Assist in emergencies including evacuations, fires, medical events, and active threats.
• Prepare incident reports and brief on shift changes.
