Job Overview

Title: Security Supervisor (Swing Shift)

Location: Berlin, MD

Salary Range: $43,888

Full‑time, year‑round swing shift. Benefits include medical, paid sick, paid vacation, paid personal time, holiday pay, and 401(k) options.

Responsibilities

• Lead employees, fostering teamwork, morale, motivation, and open communication.
• Serve as a role model and coach, developing staff with a consistent, approachable demeanor and clear expectations.
• Conduct interviews with employee candidates.
• Recommend, document, and issue discipline as necessary.
• Supervise, evaluate, and train staff.
• Comply with State Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls, and company Policies & Procedures.
• Oversee security operations as assigned.
• Maintain assigned employee files.
• Apply knowledge of Local, State, and Federal Safety Regulations.
• Supervise and conduct investigations as requested.
• Review and approve all reports submitted by uniformed officers.
• Apply knowledge of fire and safety equipment to assist in emergency situations.
• Promote outstanding customer relations.
• Promote honesty and trust within the team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co‑workers, and management.
• Must obtain and maintain a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees.

Education and Experience

• Two (2) to three (3) years of security experience (gaming security preferred).

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods of time.
• Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
