Job summary

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is seeking a professional hotel security supervisor to protect guests, visitors and staff across the property. The role covers emergencies, investigations, and daily security operations in a premier oceanfront resort environment.

Minimum five years of hotel security experience or two years in security supervision/management; military or law enforcement background is preferred. High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

• Well organized and demonstrates strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships.
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, undesired conduct, and threats to life and property.
• Respond to assigned calls and initiate necessary reports and/or corrective action.
• Monitor the employee entrance/exit to ensure appropriate property business.
• Answer security telephone and dispatch calls to officers using a two-way radio system.
• Monitor surveillance systems and other security systems in the control room.
• Consult with Company personnel to assure adequate security.
• Guest room door lock and safe repair.
• Conduct fire watch.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Security equipment.
• Serve as Lead Officer and supervise Tier 2 and 3 staff.
• Initiate fire watch when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsible for performing protective and enforcement functions to maintain a safe and secure environment for hotel guests, visitors, and employees. Work is performed in all areas of the hotel.

Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following

• Consult internally with Company personnel and departments to assure adequate security.


• Guest room door lock and safe repair.


• Conduct fire watch.


• Perform preventative maintenance on Security equipment


• Serve as Lead Officer and supervision of Tier 2 and 3.


• Initiate fire watch when needed.


• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum of five (5) years hotel security experience or minimum of two (2) Security Supervisor/Manager experience or other management experience. Military or law enforcement background preferred.
