This position will coordinate with the Security Manager to oversee all property security and safety policies and procedures. The Security Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of safety and security of the hotel. This person will respond to guest and employee emergencies, complete incident reports, and conduct security rounds.

Essential Functions:

1. Supervise and train Security Officers
2. Maintain awareness of scheduled group activities, house count, hotel facilities and services, hours of operation, facility layout, fire and emergency plans, and departmental rules of conduct
3. Work closely with Front Office to ensure guest and employee safety, handling guests under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or otherwise incapacitated
4. Understand all security systems, CCTV, Radio, Key card system, fire panel, etc.
5. Provide escorts for employees as per departmental standards
6. Coordinate emergency responses according to departmental manual
7. Oversee general liability claims
8. Monitor surveillance cameras as assigned
9. Investigate duress alarms and follow procedures
10. Patrol the property, check designated points, and document actions taken

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent training/experience
2. Valid Driver’s License
3. Knowledge of local laws, investigative methods, and fire safety
4. Valid CPR and first aid certification or ability to obtain
5. Certification in alcohol awareness or ability to obtain
6. Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal
7. Clear communication skills
8. Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office and internet use
9. 1 year security experience preferred
10. Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
11. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
