Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $22.00/hr

This is a full-time position with varied hours between 1st and 2nd shift.

Summary

The goal of the AHC Security Supervisor position is to assist with developing, implementing and maintaining all required training for the security associates, as well as providing supervision for the shift. They are to respond to emergency calls, review security reports, oversee employee medical incidents, and ensure security associates are knowledgeable of all department SOP’s.

Essential Functions

• Supervise staffing and assignments through the entire shift.
• Assist with overseeing the required OSHA/Safety training needed for all AHC associates.
• Document new hire training and ensure new security associates are properly trained for all AHC properties.
• Assess current security programs/SOP’s and coordinate the associate development of security programs and policies.
• Assisting Managers with their departmental security and safety training and conduct shift meetings.
• Responsible for the efficient and professional running of the loss prevention department, including relationships with other departments.
• Supervise all shift activity, including reports and incidents, patrolling, dispatching, and completing various logs/files on activity on a daily shift.
• Lead by example: Provide a gracious and aggressive hospitality towards all customers. Be highly familiar and adhere to all policies, procedures and standards.
• Recognize and report safety hazards.
• Effectively hand any security related incidents which arise on shift.
• Observe and report any security incidents or concerns.
• Oversee responsibility of Key control systems/CCTV/Key Watcher.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and daily patrols and complete all reports.
• Assist all associates with questions, problems which might occur.
• Create a productive and positive atmosphere throughout the hotel; have a good relationship with all associates and other departments.
• Empower all associates to provide an outstanding service by using their empowerment guidelines.
• Be a problem seeker and solver.
• Ensure that work area is always clean, neat and organized.
  
  

Required Skills

• First Aid/CPR/AED certified within the first 3 months.
• Must be literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and cloud services.
• Strong key boarding skills
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before guests or associates of organization.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts or percentages.
