Job description

As a Security Supervisor in our legendary music and entertainment venue, you'll lead a hospitalityfocused team to ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience for guests, artists, and staff. You'll supervise security staff at events and make sure all safety and security incidents are handled properlyand reported to management according to brand SOP. From iconic musical institutions to honky-tonk inspired venues, our security team ensures safety standards are upheld so guests can focus on themusic. As the ideal candidate you'll use your solid grasp of safety protocols, strong leadership andcommunication skills to maintain a harmonious environment.

• Manage public safety and employee or guest conduct issues that occur during assigned shift.
• Direct operational aspects of security officers. Outline specific post assignments and duties for each officer.
• Perform safety and security duties, including maintaining order, directing traffic, checking identification and enforcing policies as outlined in defined procedures, including age- and alcohol related policies.
• Ensure necessary event security positions are covered. Plan coverage for required breaks and reduce excess staffing when appropriate. Notify venue leadership regarding any changes in staffing.
• Conduct meetings with clients, artists, VIPs, etc. to coordinate special security needs.
• Lead pre-shift staff meetings to relay event-specific information. Alert Safety & Security Manager on Duty to any concerns.
• Support HR functions of the security team including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions. Ensure security staff follows all company policies. Monitor the physical appearance of security staff.
• Respond to emergencies (medical, fire, weather, etc.) by assisting guests and coordinating evacuations. Work with local law enforcement and first responders to manage incidents, including determining severity and supporting recovery.
• In the event of an emergency, provide basic medical assistance until EMTs arrive. Administer first aid, CPR, and AED when necessary.
• Document all incidents that occur on property. Enter accurate details in a centralized digital system.
• Ensure day-to-day monitoring of the property's safety and security systems, CCTV and fire suppression systems. Conduct safety inspections. Report safety hazards (including defective equipment) appropriately.
• Model company service basics. Communicate and uphold corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

• 2+ years' verified security, law enforcement, or military experience required
• Background in law enforcement or security with entertainment/hospitality and crowd control experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience in handling and diffusing stressful scenarios, i.e., verbal or physical confrontations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support business needs

Licenses / Certifications

• State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire
• Full-time employment is contingent upon obtaining a State of Nevada-issued Work Card (Guard Card). A Guard Card is preferred for part-time employment.
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire
• Crowd Management training provided upon hire
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry training certification required within 120 days of hire

This position requires a pre-employment drug screening (4-panel: phencyclidine, cocaine,amphetamines and opiates).

Physical Requirements

Use all senses, including vision (near, far, and color), hearing, and smell to observe surroundings for safety hazards. Communicate clearly, both verbally and through radio communication. Stand and walk continuously and frequently climb and descend stairs and uneven terrain. Frequently lift/carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Move and react quickly, including bending, reaching, lifting, and climbing. Maintain extended periods of mental focus.

Working Conditions

Indoors and outdoors, in high-traffic entertainment environments, with large crowds and elevated noise levels.
