Job Overview

We are seeking a Security Supervisor to manage day‑to‑day security operations at Thacker Pass in Orovada, Nevada. The Supervisor oversees contract security services, ensures consistent implementation of security policies, leads frontline response during incidents, and supports the Security Manager in maintaining a safe environment across Lithium Nevada operations, which may include additional sites in Orovada and Winnemucca.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walk‑throughs and security inspections at Thacker Pass.
• Implement and enforce established security policies, procedures, and site security standards.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, guidelines, and record‑keeping requirements.
• Conduct routine security assessments, identify operational risks, and report findings to the Security Manager.
• Oversee daily performance of contract security personnel and ensure compliance with service expectations, post orders, and site requirements.
• Review incident reports for completeness and accuracy before forwarding to the Security Manager.
• Serve as the on‑scene security lead during incidents and emergency response activities until relieved or directed by the Security Manager.
• Respond to after‑hours security incidents and provide leadership until additional resources arrive.
• Assist in implementing loss prevention initiatives developed by the Security Manager.
• Conduct initial investigation of crimes against property or employees and report immediately to local authorities, including misappropriation, theft, industrial espionage, threats, computer crimes, accidents, claims, conflicts of interest, assault, harassment, employee vetting, litigation support, and related matters.
• Provide operational recommendations to the Security Manager and site leadership regarding daily security concerns.
• Maintain effective working relationships with local emergency responders and law enforcement.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships across all teams while championing the company’s Purpose, Vision, and Values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 5–8 years of combined experience in law enforcement, military, industrial security, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
• Experience working with law enforcement and emergency response agencies.
• Strong decision‑making skills during emergency situations.
• Knowledge and experience with security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated technology supporting physical security.
• Excellent personnel management and supervision skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and classified information.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 24/7 availability to respond to incidents and/or threats.
