Job summary

Admiral Security Services in Downtown Baltimore is seeking a Security Officer for a day shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 am–3:00 pm). The role covers access control, policy enforcement, and proactive patrols to safeguard premises and people.

You must have at least three years of verifiable supervisory experience, Maryland Security Guard card, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess Maryland Security Guard card.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must have at least three years of verifiable supervisory work experience. Military, concierge or an AA/BA in a related field may be counted.
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Downtown Baltimore.

Responsibilities

• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Enforcement of Client and Company policies and procedures.
• Observation and reporting of security and safety hazards.
• Conduct of routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Reporting of all pertinent issues and incidents to the operations manager, the client and other Admiral/ADM Department Managers as appropriate.
• Interaction with clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public.
• Other duties as assigned.

The selected candidate will perform various security duties as outlined by contract requirements and site-specific post orders. These duties may include

• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Enforcement of Client and Company policies and procedures.
• Observation and reporting of security and safety hazards.
• Conduct of routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Reporting of all pertinent issues and incidents to the operations manager, the client and other Admiral/ADM Department Managers as appropriate.
• Interaction with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position may require work inside and outside in varying temperatures. This position requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, bending and some lifting. A portion of this position may require sitting in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (we test for the following Amphetamines, including methamphetamines, Cocaine, Marijuana/THC, Phencyclidine and Opiates)
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be comfortable with Microsoft office products.
• Must be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs.
• Must have at least three years of verifiable supervisory work experience. One year of military, concierge or an AA or BA in a related field will be considered as well.
• Must have a Maryland Security Guard card.
