Job summary

Admiral Security Services is seeking a professional security officer for a Monday–Friday shift in Columbia, MD. You will handle access control, enforce client and company policies, observe operations, and perform routine post orders while maintaining professional conduct.

The role requires at least 1 year of verifiable work experience, a Maryland Security Guard Card, a valid driver’s license, reliability, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Background check and drug screen required (tests for Amphetamines, Cocaine, Marijuana/THC, Phencyclidine and Opiates).
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must possess a Maryland Security Guard Card.
• Must have a driver’s license without points or violations.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• One year of verifiable work experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Available Shift:Monday - Friday7:00 am - 3:00 pmPay: 18:50 HourlyLocation: Columbia, Md.

The selected candidate will perform various security duties as outlined by contract requirements and site-specific post orders. These duties may include:

• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• EnforcementofClient and Company policies and procedures.
• Observation and reporting of security and safety hazards.
• Conduct of routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Reporting of all pertinent issues and incidents to the operations manager, the client and other Admiral/ADM Department Managers as appropriate.
• Interaction with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position may require work inside and outside in varying temperatures. This position requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, bending and some lifting. A portion of this position may require sitting in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
