Job summary

Silver Shield Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking dedicated Security Officers for on-call overnight and weekend shifts. You will patrol premises, monitor for security breaches, and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience as an Officer or in a similar role preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle to post in.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Active Level II or III guard card.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure safety and security.
• Foot patrol and walking up and down stairs.
• Cover and schedule last minute call offs.
• Schedule and manage overtime.
• Provide assistance and guidance in emergencies.
• Enforce company policies to prevent unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular inspections of security staff.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain records.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary.

This position requires strong surveillance skills, conflict management abilities, and knowledge of law enforcement procedures.

• Must be able to cover and schedule last minute call offs.
• Must be able to schedule and manage overtime.
• Provide assistance and guidance to employees in emergency situations.
• Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular inspections to your security staff.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills to effectively monitor premises.
