Job summary

WithCoverage in New York is seeking a Member of Technical Staff – Security to secure every layer of our stack, from product code to AWS infrastructure, while building automation and guardrails that move at startup speed. You will help prepare for SOC 2, HIPAA, and other customer requirements, turning controls into observable, automated evidence.

This hands-on role emphasizes practical security engineering and rapid delivery.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience building or securing software and infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS environments.
• Experience with authentication and authorization schemes (RBAC/ABAC) in multi-tenant systems.
• Experience preparing for SOC 2 or HIPAA is preferred.
• Ability to ship secure code and automation at startup speed.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship security improvements across application code and AWS.
• Automate security controls, evidence collection, and incident response.
• Prepare the company for SOC 2, HIPAA and similar customer requirements.
• Lead development of reusable security modules and guardrails.
• Ensure security across AI agents, data, and networks.
