Salary Range: $19.00 plus bonus potential

Summary

A Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the assigned area, ensuring proper identification, evicting trespassers, and writing reports detailing any occurrences during their shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Protect the company's property, employees and visitors.
• Monitor activities in the assigned location on company premises to discourage criminals and maintain a safe environment.
• Evict trespassers and violators and detain perpetrators following legal protocols until authorities arrive.
• Control the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents to management.
• Use communication devices such as two‑way radios clearly and concisely.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements & Work Environment

• Current TWIC card certification (required).
• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, squat; lift up to 40 pounds; endure prolonged standing or sitting.
• Ability to communicate in English with associates and guests.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately for documentation.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Capacity to work safely in noisy areas with strong odors and in an unheated building.
• Willingness to live in a remote rural community.
• Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting; ability to walk or drive on gravel roads in inclement weather.
• Seasonal hours may extend.
