Job summary

Securitas Security Services is hiring a Security Specialist to protect client sites in Sparks, NV. Multiple shifts are available across full-time, part-time, and flex roles to deliver reliable security and excellent guest service.

The ideal candidate is 18+, with a HS diploma or GED, strong computer skills, and a calm, vigilant approach. Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is preferred, with pre-employment screening required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, or ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Above average computer / technology skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience preferred.
• Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have a reliable means of communication and transportation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Wage Range: $18.00-$22.00/HR
