About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 7th Signal (Theater) G2 Section.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. To qualify, applicants must have one year or more of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes:

1. 1. Managing communication security programs by developing plans, policies, procedures, and methods for implementation and administration to protect COMSEC material and information in accordance with DoD, NSA, Army, and other applicable guidance.
2. 2. Conducting communication security inspections, staff assistance visits, and related oversight activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reduce vulnerability of secure communications.
3. 3. Implementing traditional security, physical security, access control systems, and protection distribution systems by reviewing installations, validating requirements, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and policy guidelines.

Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
