To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as:
Experience managing and evaluating physical security operations, including intrusion detection systems, biometric and card access controls, perimeter barriers, and alarm monitoring for data centers and secure facilities (such as SCIFs or SAPFs) OR conducting Inspections & Assessments: Planning and executing routine self-inspections, vulnerability assessments, and physical security compliance reviews to identify security deficiencies, mitigate risks, and maintain regulatory compliance OR leading External Audits & Accreditations: Preparing for and coordinating formal government security inspections, staff assistance visits, and accreditation reviews; developing corrective action plans to resolve audit findings; and maintaining facility accreditation in accordance with DoD and federal security standards.
