Job summary

ProSync Technology Group, LLC is seeking a Security Specialist II to support SCI/SCIF security programs and ensure policy compliance for DoD and IC requirements. The role focuses on inspecting, documenting, and investigating security incidents while applying governing directives and classification standards.

The candidate will communicate with staff and leadership, follow complex procedures, and demonstrate the ability to learn and perform duties with endorsed capability.

Qualifications

• Experience in physical, industrial, information and personnel security, including participation in Security Compliance Inspections and Self-Inspections.
• Ability to report, document, and investigate security incidents.
• Knowledge of governing policy, including Executive Orders and DoD Security Directives.
• Strong written and spoken communication with staff and supervisors.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and retain a broad range of instructions, regulations, and procedures.
• Capacity to learn and perform duties with endorsements confirming capability.
• Knowledge of security classification methods, eligibility criteria for accessing classified information, and access procedures.
• Familiarity with conducting inspections and investigations and collecting/analyzing information.
• Ability to evaluate factors affecting security decision-making (construction, access, equipment, etc.).

Responsibilities

• This position handles the support of the Sensitive Compartment Information Facility.
• A Security Specialist II specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in the fields of physical, industrial, information and personnel security participating in Security Compliance Inspections and Self-Inspections.
• Reporting, documenting and investigating security incidents.
• Reviewing and applying governing policy including Executive Orders, DoD Security Directives.
• Communicating orally and in writing with staff and supervisors.
• Possessing the relevant experience, education, or training that demonstrates the capability to follow instructions, as well as to read, comprehend, and retain a broad range of instructions, regulations, and procedures.
• Must either demonstrate this ability or have endorsements confirming their capacity to learn and perform the duties associated with the specified position.
• Must show knowledge of security classification methods and concepts, eligibility criteria for accessing classified or sensitive information, the procedures for granting personnel security clearances/access, and a clear understanding of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies used in implementing information, personnel, and physical security programs related to the protection of SCI.
• Should also be familiar with methods for executing duties such as conducting inspections and investigations and collecting and analyzing information.
• Additionally, they must possess the skill to evaluate the effects of factors like critical personnel qualifications, differences in building construction characteristics, access and entry restrictions, equipment availability, and other elements that influence decision-making when addressing security issues and questions.
