Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. in Crane, IN is seeking a Security Specialist II (COMSEC) to support our customer on-site.

The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, knowledge of security classifications, and experience handling COMSEC shipments and documentation.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience, with a disciplined approach to inspections, daily processing, and safeguarding sensitive information.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of security instructions, regulations, and procedures.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and the process for granting personnel security clearances/accesses.
• Must possess knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel related to the protection of SCI.

Responsibilities

• Acquiring address verifications from the distant end
• Shipment preparation on a daily basis
• Coordinate equipment drop off and pick up with Local Element
• Obtain shipping documents (DD1149/1348)
• Coordinate with NSLC Transportation on address, times, and contacts
• Pack and prep shipments per MILSTRIP/CMS 1A standards
• Create and process naval messages for release
• Coordinate demilitarization of obsolete gear
• Transport COMSEC shipments to shipping locations
• Update and maintain incoming/outgoing daily
• Manage receiving processes for incoming gear from other COMSEC accounts
• Send receipt of gear back to shipping account
• Gather metrics for the COMSEC office
• Assist CAM/ACAM on inspections
• Perform quarterly self-assessments

We are currently seeking a Security Specialist II (COMSEC) to support our customer in Crane, IN.

This role requires in-person support.

Duties

• Acquiring address verifications from the distant end
• Shipment preparation on a daily basis
• Work with the Local Element (LE) to coordinate equipment drop off and pick up
• Work with the LE on obtaining shipping documents (DD1149//1348)
• Work with NSLC Transportation on the correct shipping address, times of operation, and the correct point of contact with the distant end
• Pack and Prep shipments in accordance with MILSTRIP/ CMS 1A standards
• Create and process naval messages for release
• Coordinate with LE’s to demilitarize obsolete gear
• Transport COMSEC shipments to shipping locations
• Update and maintain incoming and outgoing on a daily basis
• Work through the receiving processes of incoming gear from other COMSEC accounts
• Send receipt of the gear back to the shipping account
• Gathering metrics for the COMSEC office
• Assist the CAM/ACAM on annually and quarterly inspections
• Perform quarterly self assessments

• 4+ years of experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of security instructions, regulations, and procedures.
• Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and the process for granting personnel security clearances/accesses.
• Must possess knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel related to the protection of SCI.
• Specialist should have knowledge of the methods of performing such duties as conducting inspections and investigations, collecting and analyzing information, etc., and skill in weighing the impact of variables such as critical personnel qualifications, access and entry restrictions, equipment availability, and other issues that influence the course of actions taken in resolving security questions and issues.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
