Job summary

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated Security Specialist (IBST)-Journeyman to support the DAiTA Group's AARDT&E initiatives at Patuxent River, MD. The role focuses on safeguarding SAPs, processing security actions, and maintaining DoD clearances with strict adherence to NISPOM and ICD standards.

On-site work is required with possible short-term remote/hybrid arrangements per contract needs. The candidate must possess a DoD Secret Clearance and 3 years of related experience to contribute to air

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with JADE.
• Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM, ICDs, and DoD SAP Security Manual 5205.07 (Vols. 1–4).
• Experience with ICD-705 technical specs (intrusion detection, access control, TEMPEST).
• Knowledge of advanced security principles and government security regulations.
• Must currently hold DoD Secret Clearance; onboarding clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Learns to meet DoD 5205.07 SAP requirements within the CSO.
• Processes and tracks personnel security actions (PARs, nominations, reports, briefings).
• Interfaces with customer counterparts professionally.
• Creates procedures for secure execution of programs.
• Administers and controls classified material per NISPOM.
