Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking a Security Guard in Phoenix, AZ to safeguard our team, patients, customers, and retail operations. You will patrol premises, control access, respond to incidents, and maintain accurate logs while upholding security policies.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of security experience, strong observational and decision-making abilities, and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure. A high school diploma or GED is required, with security training a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional security experience preferred.
• Strong observational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or emergency situations.
• Must be comfortable enforcing policies and protocols consistently and respectfully.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state-issued identification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal security training or certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the premises to deter theft, monitor behavior, and report suspicious activity
• Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests enter secure areas
• Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including basic first aid if required
• Maintain clear and accurate incident reports, security logs, and shift summaries
• Enforce company policies and compliance regulations to ensure a safe environment
• Deliver professional customer service by assisting patients, customers, and employees with information, directions, or support
• Coordinate with management and local authorities when necessary during incidents or emergencies
• Support daily operations by helping with crowd control, ID verification, and line management during peak hours
