A global technology consulting firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking a motivated Security Specialist to provide security support for applications and ensure compliance with security regulations. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree, along with 3-4 years of related experience in IT network security and advanced computer expertise. This role requires strong knowledge of security policies, system administration, and incident response skills. Desired certifications include CISSP, CISM, CCNP, MCSE, and/or CISA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or relevant technical training and certifications.
• 3-4 years of directly related experience.
• 3 years of advanced computer expertise.
• 3 years of IT network security knowledge and implementation experience.
• 3 years of experience with MS Office Professional tools suite.
• Knowledge of IT security policy and standards development.
• CISSP, CISM, CCNP, MCSE and/or CISA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security support for applications and their environment.
• Review compliance with security regulations, directives, and policies.
• Confirm application set up adheres to client's and AFS security policies.
• Support in obtaining Authority to Operate.
• Assist application team with Authorization and Penetration test remediation.
• Review Interconnection Security Agreements and Interface Control Documents.
