A growing government contractor is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to support a Security Operations Center in Washington, DC. Qualifications

• 6 years of technical experience in IT solutions or 4 years in senior management.
• Minimum 10 years of enterprise IT experience, with 5 years in government contracts.
• Required certifications: CISSP, ISSEP, ITIL 4 Foundation.

Responsibilities

• Manage security documentation and compliance with government standards.
• Conduct annual Security Control Assessments (SCAs) for numerous systems.
• Operate CSIRC 24/7 to respond to security incidents involving PII.
• Build and maintain a Cyberthreat Dashboard for monitoring threats.
• Manage the Vulnerability Management Program, ensuring timely remediation.
• Monitor the network for unauthorized activities.
• Ensure financial systems security for compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide security support across applications and databases.
