Securitas Security is hiring for a full-time Security Officer in Dekalb, IL. The role involves protecting people and assets, performing access control, patrolling facilities, and maintaining clear written reports.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED within 6 months.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals calmly and professionally.
• Excellent attention to detail and alertness during shifts.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgement.
• Pre-employment screening including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises in various conditions.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to meet site goals daily.
• Carry out tasks and duties of similar nature for assigned site.
