Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Security Specialist in Washington state to administer DoD and related security programs and ensure company and government policy compliance. You will guide staff on personnel, information, COMSEC, and physical security and handle classified material.

The role requires 3–5 years of security experience and an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility, plus knowledge of DoD/DOE industrial security programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate DoD and other security programs to ensure compliance with government and company policies.
• Provide guidance on personnel security, information security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure standard compliance.
• Support receipt, distribution, inventory, and disposition of classified material.
• May serve as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.
• Maintain physical security procedures for visitor control and facilities protection.
• Develop and conduct security briefings and training programs.
• Oversee programs for protection of classified and proprietary information.
• Prepare, send, and receive visitor certifications.
• Investigate losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage the continuing eligibility program for employees.
• Periodically inspect facilities for security measures.

Responsibilities

As aSecurity Specialistwith AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

• Administerand coordinateDoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
• Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions, such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.
• May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.
• Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.
• Develops and conducts security briefings and security education programs.
• Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information.
• Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications.
• Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.
• Manages the continuing eligibility program for employees.
• Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• 3-5 years of relevant security related experience.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is a must.
• Previous experience working with Special Access programs or SCI environment.
• Knowledge of DoW, DOE, or other industrial security programs.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
