Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Security Specialist to support DoD and other security programs within a federal contractor environment. You will administer and coordinate security policies, ensuring compliance with government standards and company procedures.

The role includes guidance on personnel, information, and physical security, handling of classified materials, and potential duties as a TSCO. A TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required, with experience in SA programs or SCI environments

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 3-5 years of relevant security experience.
• Knowledge of DoW, DOE, or other industrial security programs.

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate DoD and other security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to staff concerning security admin functions, such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security.
• Provide administrative security support for receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.
• May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.
• Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of facilities and property.
• Develops and conducts security briefings and security education programs.
• Oversees programs for the protection of classified and proprietary information.
• Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications.
• Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.
• Manages the continuing eligibility program for employees.
• Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures.

• Manages the continuing eligibility program for employees.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• 3-5 years of relevant security related experience.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is a must.
• Previous experience working with Special Access programs or SCI environment.
• Knowledge of DoW, DOE, or other industrial security programs.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
