Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is hiring an unarmed Security Officer in Byron Center, MI. You will secure a multi-warehouse site for a major Midwest retailer, perform access control, patrol duties, CCTV monitoring, and incident dispatch while representing a professional image.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, background check clearance, drug screening, CPR/First Aid/AED certification, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. CDL not required. Ambitious team players encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Background check with no felony convictions; pass a criminal history screen.
• Must pass a drug test at hire and periodically thereafter.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Delivery Access Control – check in/out semi truck deliveries at the guard house using computer software.
• Patrolling interior and exterior of buildings to spot security, safety, or maintenance issues.
• Mobile Patrol – drive security vehicle to patrol parking lots and exteriors.
• Warehouse Access Control – ensure client employees complete COVID health screenings and direct next steps.
• Dispatching – follow procedures to dispatch personnel for emergencies and routine responses.
• Monitoring – use CCTV and computer-aided software to monitor sites accurately.

Job Skills / Requirements

As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. This opening is at a multi-warehouse distribution center for a large Midwest retailer. Multiple officers are on duty at a time.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Include But Are Not Limited To

• Delivery Access Control - Check in/out Semi Truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software.
• Patrolling - Walk the interior and exterior of the various buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.
• Mobile Patrol - Drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors.
• Warehouse Access Control - Ensure the client's employees complete their COVID health screenings. Provide next step directions depending on results.
• Delivery Access Control - Check in/out Semi Truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software.
• Dispatching - Follow procedures in dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency response.
• Monitoring - Accurately and quickly utilize computer-aided software and monitor CCTV system using recording devices.

Current Openings

Guard House - $18.85/hour

• Part-time, Variable Days, 0700-1500 or 0800-1600

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
• Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
  • Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
  • No other major violations in the last 3 years.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
