Job summary

Tapestry Solutions, A Boeing Company, is seeking a Security Software Engineer to support the GDSS program in Swansea, IL or Mascoutah, IL. The role focuses on security engineering for cloud-based systems and secure operations in AWS Cloud One.

You will coordinate STIGs, collaborate with DevOps and compliance teams, and help remediate vulnerabilities to protect critical missions and ensure secure, compliant operations for US defense customers.

Qualifications

U.S. Secret Clearance required.
Experience implementing secure development practices and operations, including scanning and remediation.
Experience with AWS security in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Address quarterly STIGs and plans of action to reach compliance.
Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and compliance teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in AWS environments.
Monitor Nessus results and coordinate remediation efforts.
Monitor cloud security posture using AWS tools and third-party solutions.
Implement AWS security best practices and manage IAM, security groups, and network ACLs.
Design, deploy, and manage encryption for data at rest and in transit in AWS.
Develop and maintain cloud security documentation.
Stay current with emerging cloud security threats and trends.
