Job Description: Security Officer

Position Title: Security Site Supervisor
Location: Shelbyville KY

Position Summary:

The Security Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily security operations at the assigned site, ensuring that all security personnel perform their duties professionally, consistently, and in accordance with company policies, client requirements, and established security procedures. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Site Supervisor serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating staffing, monitoring performance, maintaining operational standards, and addressing security-related concerns.

The Security Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising security officers, ensuring adequate site coverage, conducting inspections, reviewing incident reports, and maintaining effective communication between site personnel, site management, clients, and the Operations Manager. The position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment, promoting accountability, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services.

The Site Supervisor is expected to lead by example, exercise sound judgment, respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies, and promptly communicate significant operational issues to the Operations Manager. Through effective leadership, organization, and attention to detail, the Security Site Supervisor supports the overall success of the security operation and ensures that site objectives and service expectations are consistently met.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required. We are happy to train those without experience in the industry.
• Certifications:
  • Security Officer License (where applicable).
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
• Skills:
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using security systems, cameras, and basic office technology (e.g., email, Microsoft Office).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods.
• Driving Eligibility:Posts requiring operation of a company vehicle will only be permitted for those over the age of 25 with a screened motor vehicle record. (Accidents and Violations are reviewed on a case by case basis)

Our Security Officers protect the Industrial or Commercial property of our clients against fire, vandalism and illegal entry.

Our clients range from Class-A Office Buildings, Luxury Residential Properties, Distilleries, Fortune 500 Companies, Financial Institutions, Telecommunications, Manufacturing/Industrial Factories, Hospitals and many others.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of 25 years of age
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test
