Job summary

Allied Universal in Honolulu, HI is seeking an Armed Security Site Supervisor to oversee delivery of security services at a client site. You will supervise site staff, provide coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range, and act as the liaison between the customer and operations team to ensure high-quality service.

The role requires strong communication, crisis management, and the ability to work under stress, with licensing and background checks completed as required

Qualifications

Armed Security Site Supervisor

The Armed Site Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services to an assigned customer. The Armed Site Supervisor will act as a liaison between customers, Operation Managers and security officers. They will supervise site staff and provide coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Rate of Pay: $38.00 an hour

Site requirerments:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• High school diploma, GED
• Valid State of Hawaii driver's license or driver's license recognized in Hawaii;
• Meets HRS Chapter 463 security guard licensing requirements;
• Meets all applicable Judiciary access and background requirements.
• Complete fingerprint-based background investigation
• Meets one qualifying experience path: 2 years honorable U.S. Armed Forces service (DD-214 if applicable) or 1 year qualifying full-duty law enforcement experience with separation in good standing
• Legally eligible to possess, carry, transport, and handle firearm and ammunition
• Required firearm license, permit, written authorization, certification, and qualification are current;
• Demonstrates sound judgment, maturity, alertness, professional conduct, strong moral character, and ability to make decisions under stress
• Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in English
• Basic computer, clerical, recordkeeping, typing, and access-control system skills;
• Courteous and able to deal effectively with the public, Judiciary staff, law enforcement, and security personnel
• Able to complete initial pre-employment ASG medical and physical examination

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Capably utilize scheduling and billing software to produce reports (such as Scheduling Activity, Training Detail reports, etc.) that require interpretation and action for effective business management
• Communicates staffing needs to Operation Manager which may include using the Requisition process, assisting in identifying and interviewing quality candidates
• Assures that officers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills; also includes performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.)
• Assures that employee grievances are heard with help from appropriate branch or region HR support employees
• Able to:
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
• Able to complete initial pre-employment ASG medical and physical examination
• Cleared for use of an N95 disposable particulate respirator
• Physically capable of prolonged standing/walking, emergency response, use of screening equipment, CCTV, handcuffs, baton, and firearm, and intervention with violent or disturbed persons.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
