Responsibilities

• Supervise and authorize entrance/exit of people to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Answer calls, take messages, and provide information during non-business hours.
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents.
• Patrol and monitor premises to prevent hazards, theft, or rule violations.
• Oversee daily workflow and scheduling of security staff.
• Conduct training for new hires and current staff on safety procedures.
• Escort individuals when needed and provide protection as required.
• Write detailed narrative reports and daily activity reports (DARs).
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity and respond appropriately.

The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures. Responsibilities:

• Supervise and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Answer telephone calls and take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff including security guards and desk clerks.
• Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and related safety and security topics.
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)
• Supervise for irregular or unusual activity
