Job summary

Prosegur Security USA, Inc. is seeking a reliable Security Supervisor to maintain a safe environment by patrolling, monitoring premises, and enforcing security procedures in Lakeland, FL. The role requires supervising staff, conducting training, and handling time-sensitive incident reports.

Shifts include 1st shift, Tuesday-Saturday 7:00am-3:00pm, with a starting pay of $19/hr. Benefits options are available and career advancement is encouraged within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a valid Security Guard License.
• Must have 2 years of experience as a security officer or supervisory experience.
• Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have good communications skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.
• Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods.
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Answer telephone calls and take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff including security guards and desk clerks.
• Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and related safety and security topics.
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)
• Supervise for irregular or unusual activity
