Job summary

GDI, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dedicated janitorial supervisor to lead and train the cleaning crew and coordinate shift assignments. You will ensure quality, safety, and timely service across the site.

The role requires prior supervisory experience and the ability to work well with management and staff. This full-time position runs 11:00am–7:00pm, Monday–Friday, with a focus on reliable, customer-focused facilities maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have prior supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead and supervise janitorial staff.
• Must be physically able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train the janitorial staff in the building.

• Inspect the jobsite regularly and submit inspection reports.
• Identify and communicate the need for special project work.
• Respond quickly to customer concerns or complaints.

Job Duties:

• Supervise and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Manage employee relations and performance issues quickly and appropriately. Document and report to management or HR.
• Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify any quality concerns or project work needed; complete and submit inspection reports.
• Identify and communicate the need for any special project work to management.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to all customer concerns or complaints.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures; immediately report and investigate accidents.
• Complete training courses as required.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Ability to lead and supervise

• Previous supervisory experience required
