Job summary

Top Guard Security in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Security - Shift Supervisor, Unarmed to oversee daily security operations on 12-hour shifts. You will supervise guards, conduct patrols, monitor surveillance, respond to incidents, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Candidates should have a clean driving record, DCJS Unarmed card, and ideally military, law enforcement, or at least one year security experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record and either military, law enforcement, or corrections background, or at least 1 year security experience.
• DCJS Unarmed card and valid driver's license; current driving record with no more than 3 tickets.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to complete.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct security personnel during assigned shifts.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance systems to prevent security breaches.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security threats.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor security officers to uphold safety standards.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
• Maintain accurate reports of security incidents and shift activities.
• Conduct security inspections and provide recommendations for improvement.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Leadership experience in a security or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
• Proficient with Genetec security software administration.

• Availability: Friday-Thursday, 7-days open availability for 12-hour shifts, A/C shift 6am-6pm, rotating between 36 and 48 hours every other week. (A) week is 4 days on, 3 days off. (C) week is 3 days on, 4 days off.

• Job Duties & Responsibilities:
