Candidates must have a clean driving record, military/law enforcement background or at least one year security experience, and DCJS Unarmed card plus CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DCJS Unarmed card and valid driver’s license required.
• Must have or be willing to obtain DCJS certification and CPR/AED/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct security personnel during assigned shifts.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance systems to prevent security breaches.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security threats.
• Maintain accurate reports of security incidents and shift activities.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
• Train and mentor security officers to uphold safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
• Lead inspections and provide improvement recommendations.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Leadership experience in a security or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
• Proficient with Genetec security software administration.

Job Skills / Requirements

Must have a clean driving record, and have either military, law enforcement, or corrections background, or at least 1 year security experience. Pay $24

• Availability: Friday-Thursday, 7-days open availability for 12-hour shifts, A/C shift 6am-6pm, rotating between 36 and 48 hours every other week. (A) week is 4 days on, 3 days off. (C) week is 3 days on, 4 days off.

• Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct security personnel during assigned shifts.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance systems to prevent security breaches.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security threats.

• Train and mentor security officers to uphold safety standards.

• Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Private Security Certification or willingness to be trained in the use of pepper spray, tasers, and handcuffs through a certified training program.
• CPR/AED/ First Aid certification or willingness to complete a training program with a certified instructor.
