Job Description

Allied Universal Services is currently searching for a Professional Security Shift Supervisor.

The Shift Security Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. The Security Shift Supervisor will act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager and professional security officers. Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Pay: $31.25 / Hour

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • The shift supervisor reports to the site supervisor and is the 2nd most senior officer on site. Like all officers, a Shift Supervisor is held to the highest standard of conduct. The post requires leadership ability, complete understanding of all posts and the duties attached them, extensive knowledge of the layout of the Facility and will recognize the senior level staff members for their respective sites. Must have a total of at least 4 years of security experience and 2 years of security experience in a leadership position. The shift supervisor candidate must have also attained at least a 2 year college degree or have completed 2 full years of course work towards a 4 year college degree.
  • Duties include but are not limited to:
  1. Supervise and lead all security officers onsite
  2. Lead security officer emergency responses to events and incidents onsite when Site Supervisor is offsite
  3. Receive/log/documents visitors.
  4. Provide Guest Wi-fi for visitors
  5. Oversee afternoon posts and ensure proper access control is being exercised.
  6. Check visitors Valid ID and provide them with a visitor pass
  7. Monitor CCTV cameras.
  8. Monitor the access control system.
  9. Make sure employee badges are displayed and used at all access doors.
  10. Report all incidents and discrepancies to the Site Supervisor and Global Corporate Security
  11. Process employee requests.
  12. Sit up straight and maintain a professional and attentive attitude
  13. Oversee cleaning of restricted areas
  14. Conduct specialized tours
  15. Be able to recognize local VIP staff
  16. Fill in for Site Supervisor absences
  17. Create detailed, grammatically correct and easily understood incident reports.
  18. Will have the authority to instruct and provide guidance and commands to other security officers
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
  • Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting;
  • Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check
  • Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Able to:
    • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
    • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
    • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
    • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
