Allied Universal is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor for a healthcare facility in Summerlin, NV. The role covers security for a high-profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus during a designated shift, with emphasis on de-escalation, patrol, and staff oversight.

Ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background checks. 40-hour shifts, overnight/afternoon, with paid training and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation and restrain as needed.
• Transport deceased patients to the morgue as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Oversee security on-site: staffing, scheduling, and training.
• Ensure contract-required training and screening are met.
• Maintain overtime within AUS guidelines.
• Inspect staff and performance for contract compliance.
• Prepare incident reports and security surveys.
• Provide direction to subordinates and manage disciplinary actions.
• Respond to client requests and emergency notifications.

In Summerlin, Nevada: Allied Universal Security is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor to join our Medical Buildings Team. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. The Shift Supervisor performs general security duties as directed in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, as specified in post orders, and will deter criminal activity and misconduct.

Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Ideal candidates must:

• Have Required 1 year of Security Experience
• Possess prior supervisory experience
• Hold a valid Drivers License for at least 1 year
• Ability to pass a background check, including a driver’s record review
• Have proficiency in using computers and tablets
• Possess exceptional customer service and communications skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
• Be comfortable performing foot patrol routes requiring standing and walking for long periods of time
• Preferably have CPR certification and active PILB guard card

Schedule: 40 hour schedule - Overnight or Afternoon

Pay $19.05 Hourly

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
• Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed
• Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room
• Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site are performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all Allied Universal® personnel assigned to his/her site)
• Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
• Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by AUS
• Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
• Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
• Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.
• Respond to client requests
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates in regard to the performance of their duties
• Disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
• Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
• Must be able to pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
  • Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets
  • Minimum of one year verifiable and successful supervisory experience
  • Associate's degree or higher in any discipline
• Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
