Job summary

Akima Intra-Data (AID), an Akima company, is seeking a Security Services Shift Lieutenant to lead on-duty staff, coordinate response to incidents, and ensure adherence to DoD security requirements. You will manage shift plans, supervise personnel, and maintain essential reports and equipment inventories.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, TN Armed Security Guard license, and three years of leadership experience in policing or military contexts; the position is on-site with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Valid state driver's license.
• TN Armed Security Guard license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pre-employment fitness test and annual fitness test.
• Three years of full-time leadership experience in military or civilian police.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for the assigned shift; assigns activities, projects, and programs; reviews work to ensure safety, quality and accuracy; meets with shift personnel to identify and resolve problems.
• Responds to incidents and directs on-scene deployment and activities of the responding officers.
• Coordinates training and assists with company evaluation programs for shift personnel.
• Provides motivation for employee performance; identifies and resolves shift deficiencies and initiates discipline procedures.
• Supervises, reviews and participates in the preparation of reports and the maintenance of records; inspects equipment and ensures deficiencies are corrected.
• Makes checks of posted officers for alertness and well-being.
• Trains on-duty security officers as required.
• Maintains, controls, and completes inventory of government and personal weapons and equipment.
• Issues and receives weapons in compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensures all shift personnel are knowledgeable of regulations and requirements of their assignment.
• Ensures personnel are mentally and physically fit for duty.
