Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit is seeking a Security Shift Lead for the Longview, WA area. The on-site role pays $26.94–$28.59 per hour and involves leading the security team, coordinating daily operations, and serving as the main contact on assigned shifts.

Former military or law enforcement experience is encouraged. The position includes benefits and growth opportunities within a customer-focused security operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of security leadership experience.
• Strong computer/technology skills.
• Excellent communication, reporting and organization skills.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Able to interact with a wide range of individuals professionally.
• Able to conduct patrols and respond promptly to situations.
• Remain alert and detail-oriented during shift.
• Willing to participate in pre-employment screen, including drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of security officers on site.
• Ensure all officers follow post orders and Securitas protocols.
• Communicate routine patrols and ensure proper site coverage at all times.
• Inspect posts as scheduled and outline tasks and responsibilities.
• Respond to incidents and manage emergency situations effectively.
• Train new officers and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Assist in submission of payroll and personnel information to the company.
• Maintain detailed reports, incident documentation, and daily activity logs.

The Security Shift Lead provides on-shift leadership for the security team by overseeing daily operations, ensuring post coverage, supporting Security Officers, and service as the primary point of contact during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, coordinating emergency response, conducting patrols and inspections, coaching officers, ensuring compliance with post orders and client expectations, completing reports, and communicating operations updates to site and District leadership. The Shift Lead promotes a safe, professional, and customer-focused security operation while maintaining Security standards and the client's security objectives.

What Your Day May Look Like
