Job summary

Coushatta Casino Resort is seeking a Security Officer to protect casino assets, guests, and team members. You will respond promptly to requests for security assistance and communicate safety policies to guests and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus security-related education or experience; basic computer skills and typing pace are expected. You will work in accordance with Louisiana laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred for security role.
• Completion of a Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice course is advantageous.
• College-level coursework in related field preferred but not required.

Job description

Protects casino assets, guests and team members, responds promptly to requests for security assistance, and maintains good public relations. To perform duties in compliance with local, state and federal laws and the Louisiana State Compact, to communicate to Guests and Team Members safety and security policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Graduate from High School or equivalent. Graduate from a Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice course, preferably at the college level. One or more years of recent and related experience in Security Enforcement if preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic computer knowledge and ability to type twenty (20) words per minute.
