In this role, you will service and support existing customers by responding to service calls, supporting Customer Support Programs, and handling small projects. What You'll Do with "Our Training and Your Experience"


  • Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program, promoting our colleague-first culture and referring top talent.
  • Act as "our customer's best service provider" to ensure Convergint is the preferred service provider.
  • Respond promptly to routine and non-routine service calls, including scheduled maintenance, emergencies, and after-hours calls; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace parts, and install projects as needed.
  • Use troubleshooting skills to identify and fix equipment or software issues.
  • Resolve various service call problems, analyze repair needs, and provide suitable solutions, completing repairs and replacements as necessary.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed service reports promptly for customer billing and job tracking.
  • May handle system integrations, upgrades, audits, and database management; support network systems and equipment.
  • Perform all service calls in compliance with regulations and safety policies, troubleshooting equipment or software issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve operations of the Convergint Technology Center and the company.

  • Primarily perform preventative maintenance on less complex installed systems.
  • Work with specialists to cross-train on servicing existing customers, responding to service calls, and managing small projects.
  • Include technical assistance, system checkout, troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of security systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What You'll Need


  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure, proactively meeting customer needs.
  • Strong technical skills or experience with fire alarm and electronic security systems.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude, familiarity with tools such as drills, wire strippers, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Ability to travel locally; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Requirements:


Education: High School/GED or equivalent


Experience: 3-5 years in servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems


Preferred Experience (not required):


  • Field service experience
  • CCTV systems: Milestone / Genetec
  • Access Control: AMAG / Lenel / Genetec / Software House - CCURE / S2
  • Intrusion systems: DMP / Bosch
