Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is hiring to service, install, maintain, and inspect security systems. The role requires high school education, basic technical training, and safe operation of tools and a fleet vehicle. You will work on customer sites, handle documentation, and communicate job status to clients.

Responsibilities

• Install security systems or appropriate devices and dismantle/reconstruct equipment as required.
• Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement.
• Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs.
• Connect and adjust components, test operation of all system parts.
• Conduct site surveys upon management request.
• Keep manuals and details up to date as changes occur.
• Write service and status reports and submit accurate paperwork.
• Communicate with customers on job status or completion.

Job description

This position is responsible for servicing, installing, maintaining, and inspecting security systems. Ensure that all systems and components are maintained according to industry standards and the operational requirements of the customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install security systems or appropriate devices, dismantle and/or reconstruct equipment as required by customer or the Company.
• Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement.
• Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs.
• Make connections and required adjustments as directed, test operation of all components of each system.
• Conduct site surveys upon request of management.
• Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
• Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management.
• Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service).
• Write service and status reports.
• Submit complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner.
• Obtain proper signatures.
• Accurately record travel and service times, timesheets, identify warranties, changes and code issues and provide accurate descriptions.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification:

• A high school education or equivalent required.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Other Duties:

• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Maybe required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to walk and stand.
• Comfortable reaching, climbing (ladder/stairs) and bending.
• Must be able to verbally communicate via telephone.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Pay Rate:

$20-25.00 per hour based on experience
