GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Security Sergeant to lead a security team, train officers, and coordinate shift schedules at a Santa Clara location. The role emphasizes high-quality customer service and strict adherence to client security requirements.

Candidates should hold a state security license, have 32 hours of BSIS security training, be authorized to work in the U.S., and provide evidence of a HS Diploma or GED. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• State security license required.

• At least 1 year of Security Supervisor experience in a corporate setting.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

• Military or law enforcement background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the security team on your shift.
• Train new officers.
• Manage schedules to ensure no dark posts during your shift.
• Liaise between staff and management to meet client security requirements.
• Perform customer service duties: greet visitors, verify identity, and guide guests.
• Manage access control and conduct regular patrols.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.

As a Security Officer – Concierge, there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people on all shifts, in environments such as office towers, hotels, shopping centers, etc.

  • Saturday-Sunday / 2:00pm-10:30pm. & Monday-Wednesday / 10:00pm-6:30am

Responsibilities of a Security Sergeant

• Supervise the security team on your given shift
• Train new officers
• Help manage schedules to make sure you have zero dark posts during your shift
• Act as a liaison between staff and management, ensuring client security requirements are met
• Customer service duties like welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors
• Manage access control
• Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks
• Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs

  Qualifications for Security Sergeant

  • You have a state security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
  • Be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have at least one year of Security Supervisor Experience in a corporate setting.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
