Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
• Experience as a work leader, team leader, or supervisor.
• Ability to distribute workloads and train employees while maintaining records.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
• Oversee passenger, carry-on and checked baggage screening operations.
• Assign work, set priorities, and coordinate staffing rotations.
• Make security-based decisions using TSA procedures and judgment.
• Review performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Approve leave and address routine workplace concerns.
• Respond to security incidents, disruptions, and emergencies.
• Prepare briefings, logs, and management communications.
• Coordinate with airport stakeholders and TSA leadership as required.
• Recommend improvements to procedures and staffing plans.
